BEHIND THE SCENES

In my Intro to Filmmaking class during my freshman year of college, one of our projects during quarantine was to create a soundscape. For this assignment, the entire story had to be told through sound, without any accompanying video. I chose to interview my mom about her career as a special education teacher, using sound effects that my sister and I created together with things we found around the house. After completing the project, I walked away with a new appreciation for how much you can really do with sound when making a film.
