BEHIND THE SCENES

This project was created as an assignment for my Topics in Film: Postproduction class during my senior year of college. This assignment was meant to focus on practicing our color grading skills by using a camera that shoots in RAW or LOG format, which strips images of their natural color, and adjusting the color in DaVinci Resolve.

Each member of the class was randomly assigned three "obstructions" for their assignment that would determine what aspects of color grading they would focus on. For my project, I was assigned: 1) color grade your shots in black and white; 2) change the color of an object; 3) change the color of the sky. In addition, I color graded all of my shots using the popular grading look Teal and Orange.
