Milky Way Adventure

BEHIND THE SCENES

This piece takes viewers on an exclusive tour through the Milky Way Galaxy, to the tune of Hans Zimmer’s track Where We’re Going from the 2014 original motion picture Interstellar. Relax and enjoy as you are transported through the wonder that is our solar system.

During my junior year of college, I took an honors film class called Projection and Performance. Our final assignment was to make a project that could be presented using projected light. The topic had to be related to "elements" in some way. Since the concept of outer space has always fascinated me, I chose to make it my topic.

During finals week, my class had an open art show at one of the gallery spaces on campus, where visitors could walk around and experience each piece. Getting to see other people interact with my piece was very cool.
