BEHIND THE SCENES

In every Division I school, there is a committee of student-athletes who assemble to provide insight on their experience and help out their campus community. At the University of Hartford, I am a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Food frenzy is an initiative undertaken by the SAAC program in each of the schools in the America East conference to raise awareness on the issue of food scarcity. In 2020, each of the Hartford sports teams was challenged to make a creative video of themselves preparing a meal with a given ingredient. The women's track team was challenged to make a meal using beans--we chose to make nachos.
