BEHIND THE SCENES

This video was created as a project for my Media Literacy class in my junior year of college. We were instructed to create our own advertisement critiquing the practices of an existing product. I wanted to create a parody for car commercials in general to show the great difference between expectations and reality in the automotive industry.

In most car commercials, the focus is completely on making the visual appearance of the car as perfect as possible while giving little attention to the most important, functional features of the car. In reality, consumers will often face a multitude of problems with the operation of their vehicle once they have purchased it.
